Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to a technological visit to the hydrogen testing ground near Zelenograd as part of the International Hydrogen Energy Conference (organized by the National Oil and Gas Forum). This is a unique opportunity to see all key Russian hydrogen energy technologies in operation: an autonomous power station, the first Russian hydrogen all-terrain vehicle "Rusak", hydrogen production and storage units, and more. All these technologies are being developed for real industrial applications aimed at reducing carbon footprints and powering remote facilities in the extreme conditions of the Far North.
The Hydrogen Technology Testing Ground of the Engineering Center "Autonomous Energy" (a joint initiative of "RT-Business Development" and MIPT) and the hydrogen transport test track are live sites where technologies are presented in working condition, not as mock-ups. Visitors will be able to see, touch, and film actual prototypes that are already being tested in the harsh environment of Sakhalin and are being prepared for deployment in the Arctic. Key developers—engineers from MIPT and Rostec—will be present on-site to provide detailed commentary and demonstrate the operation of each module.
Main exhibits at the hydrogen testing ground:
The Automated Hybrid Power Unit (AHPU) enables the elimination of diesel fuel at remote sites. The first such unit is already operational on Sakhalin, powering a cellular tower and reducing CO₂ emissions by nearly 1.5 tons per year. This technology can be deployed at thousands of similar facilities across Russia.
The first Russian hydrogen all-terrain vehicle "Rusak K-10" can travel up to 500 km without refueling and is designed for Arctic operations. It is equipped with low-pressure tires to minimize impact on the soil.
The High-Temperature Electrolyzer is a hydrogen production unit that consumes significantly less electricity compared to analogues while producing high-purity hydrogen (99.99%).
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to observe various hydrogen storage methods: compressed, liquefied, in the form of ammonia, and in metal hydrides. Hydrogen burners for industrial applications and space heating with an efficiency of up to 95% will also be demonstrated.
The technological visit will take place as part of the International Hydrogen Energy Conference (organized by the National Oil and Gas Forum) on **October 31, from 10:00 to 15:00**.
